Our Students

Every child who has attended The PowerThink Academy over the past seventeen years has done so because the school they were attending was not meeting their needs on some level- whether personal, academic, emotional or social.  Every student was being impacted negatively in some way by the educational setting they were in on a daily basis.  The stress, anxiety and struggle that can arise from this mis-match of the child and school is what prompted parents to seek out an alternative school.

Very often children with diagnosed learning disabilities such as  ADHD/ADD or Language Processing Issues  become our students because the personal attention they receive and the ability to learn without being labeled is just what they need to thrive on all levels.

Our small, personal, positive, supportive and safe environment works wonders for children who need a different kind of physical space in which to learn and/or need the kind of academic and emotional support that helps them to be successful and grow into who they really are.
